Admissions

The program is competitive for a limited number of seats (40 in total) and priority is given to applicants who are residents of Newfoundland and Labrador. Normally, 35 seats are offered to residents of Newfoundland and Labrador. Of the 35 seats, one seat is reserved for an eligible applicant of Aboriginal descent from Newfoundland & Labrador. The remaining 5 seats are open to non-residents of Newfoundland & Labrador, including international applicants.

The application deadline for admission to the entry-to-practice PharmD program each September is February 1 of that same year.

The Admissions Committee selects applicants who exhibit strong academic capabilities, demonstrate the qualities and skills necessary to be an effective pharmacist, and display a commitment to a career in pharmacy.

Applications for admission to the Doctor of Pharmacy degree program should be submitted online via the University's Application for Admission/ Readmission which can be accessed in the following ways:

Students who are new to Memorial University: Follow the application instructions provided at www.mun.ca/undergrad/apply/

Applications for admission in Fall 2018 will be available October 1, 2017

The School of Pharmacy Pharm.D. Application fee is: $125 for Canadian applicants, $175 for international applicants. Application fees are charged upon submission of the online application and are in addition to the University’s general application fees.
