Programs & Admissions

As future pharmacists and health care leaders, pharmacy students need to be caring and compassionate, self-motivated leaders and team members, have an interest in the sciences and be willing to act as spokespeople for the pharmacy profession.

Other key attributes include:

• Dedicated study habits
• Strong devotion to ethics and performance
• High grades
• A solid understanding in sciences (chemistry, biology and physics)
• A strong understanding of mathematics
• Strong communication skills

The Bachelor of Science (Pharmacy) program is no longer available for admission. Admission to the entry-to-practice Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree will commence in Fall 2017.

The deadline for applications is February 1.

A highlight is our Structured Practice Experience (SPE) Program - an experiential learning opportunity which allows students to apply their university-gained knowledge and training to deal with patients and practice situations in order to achieve proficiency and competency in performing the functions of a pharmacist.

If you're passionate about research that has direct effects on the health of our population, the School of Pharmacy offers M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in the areas of Drug Discovery and Delivery, Health Outcomes, and the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning. Our Graduate Program may be just the path you're looking for.
