School of Pharmacy
Not only is Memorial University’s School of Pharmacy one of the newest in the country, with its first graduating class in 1990, but it is the smallest, admitting only 40 students annually. Its size promotes personal and professional interactions between the students and faculty. The school is situated in the Health Sciences Centre (HSC) which is home to the General Hospital, the Dr. Bliss Murphy Cancer Treatment Centre and is joined to the Janeway Child Health and Rehabilitation Centre. The School of Pharmacy, Nursing, and the Faculty of Medicine are all located in the HSC, encouraging interdisciplinary learning. Memorial’s School of Pharmacy is continually evolving as it recently transitioned from a 2+3 to a 1+4 program and acquired a brand new Professional Practice Lab in 2007.
