Learning Resource Centre
Memorial University's School of Nursing is home to the
Learning Resource Centre (LRC) - an interactive learning
environment. This 10 bed simulated hospital-setting gives the
nursing students a place to learn and practice their psychomotor
skills in order to enhance the application of this knowledge in the
clinical setting.
The LRC’s mandate is to facilitate practice
opportunities for the nursing students as they acquire mastery of
psychomotor nursing skills.
The goals of the LRC are:
- To simulate clinical situations requiring nursing interventions.
- To provide up to date equipment, models, and mannequins that will maximize the students’ learning experience.
- To provide an opportunity for students to gain nursing skills in a practice environment.
- To provide an innovative approach to student learning needs.
~For the Fall 2010 semester,
the Learning Resource Centre
will be open for student practice on
Wednesday and Thursday from 6-8 p.m., and on Saturday and Sunday
from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m.
