  • increase the number of research projects and nurse researchers

  • greater understanding of, and more opportunities for students and non-researchers to participate in studies

  • practicing nurses contacting ACRUN for assistance with research
  • more multidisciplinary/multisectorial research

ACRUN submit 2 proposals in the next calendar year
monitoring research in the region (ACRUN/non-ACRUN)

encourage research team building -- locally, provincially
write proposals collaboratively

networking with research experts in a variety of disciplines/sectors (economics, statistics, environment, law, medicine)

active recruitment (media/newsletters) of students and non-researchers

communicate/enhance importance of nursing research

develop a communication strategy to practicing nurses

list serv (WEB-site) linked to university programs, etc. to discuss/debate knowledge development
