Calling all guitar aficionados and eclectic music lovers! Don't miss this rare opportunity to hear an array of musical styles and instrumental combos for guitar. The afternoon promises to include all but the intro to Stairway to Heaven, and will reveal some of today's coolest guitar pieces all plucked by MUN's very own guitar students. 3pm in Petro-Canada Hall.

Bring on the Bass


It is our pleasure to welcome guest faculty member and principal bassist of the Winnipeg Symphony Orchestra, Meredith Johnson and fellow WSO violinist Susan McCallum featuring duos by Beethoven, Giliere and Rossini. We'll cap the concert with a big dose of Dvorák: the quintet for bass and strings. 3pm in the D.F. Cook Recital Hall.

Tuba player (and new mom!) Karen Bulmer joins forces with pianist Krista Vincent for an afternoon of childhood-inspired tuba music including Schumann's Scenes from Childhood and Alec Wilder's effervescent Effie the Elephant Suite. Fun for the whole family! 3pm in Petro-Canada Hall.

A witch who hates her nose, an iceberg, singing cod fish and true love! Children of all ages will love this contemporary fairy tale, commissioned by our own Opera RoadShow from Newfoundland composer Dean Burry. 3pm in the D.F. Cook Hall Recital Hall.
