Victoria McNeillVictoria McNeill began playing the horn at the age of 10. From her first encounter with the instrument, it was apparent that a special bond would form, and since that time she has been developing her skills as a solo, chamber and orchestral musician. As an orchestral horn player, Victoria has performed under such conductors as the late Sir Richard Bradshaw, James Gaffigan, as well as Sir Andrew Davies and has worked with Jamie Sommerville, Stefan Dohr, and FrØydis ree Werke. In addition, she has attended programs across North America including The Banff Centre for the Arts and the Aspen Music Festival. As a soloist, Victoria has been featured on CBC radio and can also be heard on Hey Rosetta’s album “Into Your Lungs”. Victoria can also be heard on the McGill Contemporary Ensembles recordings of the Ligeti concerti for violin, cello, piano, and the Hamburg Concerto for solo horn and horn quartet.

Victoria grew up in the town of Paradise, Newfoundland and attended Memorial University for her undergraduate studies. Following her studies in Newfoundland, Victoria moved to Montreal to attend McGill University where she earned a Masters in Orchestral Performance with Mr. John Zirbel.
