Newfound Music FestivalCall for Presentations and Performances XIII Annual Meeting of the Newfound Music Festival Symposium

TIME: Thursday February 4, 2016 (ca. 10:00am-4:00pm)
PLACE: Suncor Energy Hall
PRESENTERS: Open to Students, Alumni and Faculty

Due to the resounding success of last year’s symposium, this year’s NEWFOUND MUSIC FESTIVAL XIII will once again be held in a communal space with short, varied, and fun-filled sessions.

We are making a call for presentations/lectures that are 10, 15, or 20 minutes in duration. We are soliciting proposals for presentations, lecture-demonstrations, or performances on any topic related to “New” music (or not!).

Suggested topics include:

  • Performances of contemporary compositions;
  • Lecture/Performances;
  • Student Composition Performances;
  • Presentations on any aspect of your research or interests;

As mentioned above, we would especially welcome and encourage short performances from our students and faculty. Even a short preview of a longer work would be most welcome.

In order to centralize this schedule, please click here to formally submit your idea, even if we have talked about it in passing.
