Come to a Halloween Mixer and support Hurricane Relief!

The Political Science Society is having a costume halloween mixer. But because it is Kindness Friday, we believe our mixer should have a twist.

Our plan is foremost to have fun, but we also plan on giving a little something to those who cannot have fun.

We encourage everyone to come on out in your costumes and have some fun times with us. We pledge to donate a percentage of our profits to the Red Cross to aid with their hurricane relief. The more the merrier and the more we will have to give to those not able to be with us kicking back!

Help us be kind yo!

Got "stray" pennies? Do your part for Kindness Friday – Oct. 29!

Did you know...
- In seven years, one female cat and one male cat and their offspring can produce up to 420,000 kittens?
- In six years, one female dog and one male dog and their offspring can produce up to 67,000 puppies?
- One million pennies = $10,000?

As part of I ♥ MUNdays, the Office of Alumni Affairs & Development is once again inviting all students, faculty, staff, and retirees, to participate in our Kindness Friday fundraiser by donating pennies to the St. John's SPCA's "Million Penny Challenge" for its spay/neuter program, which is currently on hold due to lack of resources.

If you'd like to contribute funds (in any denomination) or much needed items (pet food and treats, litter, new litter pans and scoops, blankets, towels, cleaning supplies like paper towels, bleach, etc.) please drop them off to M! arie (Alumni House – Lambe's Lane), Dana & Jennifer (Capital Campaign Office – IIC-3028, Genesis Group), or Julie (Marine Institute, Room 2116, School of Ocean Technology Applied Research)

If you are bringing pennies and/or items to the Campaign Office, go to the 3rd floor of the Inco Innovation Centre and signage will direct you to the Capital Campaign door. Ring the doorbell (push it hard!) and Campaign staff will answer.

To boost a competitive spirit, both AA&D Director Dr. Penny Blackwood and Capital Campaign Director Ms. Andrea Segal have agreed to match what AA&D raises (up to $50), and are challenging all other deans, directors and managers to do the same in their respective offices.

Also, on Friday, Oct. 29, drop by our booth on the 3rd floor of the UC (near the top of the stairs). Staff will be at this location from noon until 2 p.m. to collect for this worthwhile cause.

Thanks for your support!

Dana English - Office of Alumni Affairs and Development/Capital Campaign
