Welcome to Community Service-Learning Day 2007 – a key event for I © MUNdays. This is to confirm you registration for the day. Here is some information that might help you prepare and plan for this exiting day:

  • Registration begins at 9:30 in Inco Innovation Centre Lobby
    • Please bring your waiver to registration. It is available at http://www.mun.ca/mundays/community/. If you are 18 years of age or younger you must have it signed by your parents and ready to pass in on the day of the event.
  • Juice, muffins, and water is available upon your arrival
  • Dress for the project:
    • Please wear closed toe shoes failure to do so will result in your inability to participate in the day as this is a risk management concern
    • Dress appropriately: this event will occur RAIN or SHINE, COLD or WARM please
  • Welcome will occur at 10:00 AM and Group Picture will follow
  • You will then depart with your group to your assigned project (Tree planting, bulb planting, City Clean Up, Ocean Clean Up, and the Harbour Haunt)
    • Those who have been accepted for the Harbour Haunt have already been contacted as this event requires volunteers to work from 9:00 – 5:00
  • Before you leave your site, make sure that you have returned all your equipment to your Team Leader
  • Make sure you leave your site as a group and return to the University to participate in the reflection and discussion
  • We cannot guarantee a latex free environment so, if you have an allergy please take all precautions necessary
  • If you do not wish your photo to be used or taken as part of Community Service Learning days please inform your Team Leader on Saturday
  • If you have any questions on Saturday please don’t hesitate to ask your team leader
  • After the event you are invited to a FREE pizza lunch in

    Petes Place, Hatcher House

  • You are invited to stick around for the closing ceremonies which will occur at 3:00PM where many great prizes will be awarded
  • Parking is available in Area 16 and 16A for this day only
  • Please make sure that your team leader has registered you for points (If applicable)
