Grand Opening
The Research Centre for Music, Media and Place (MMaP) at Memorial
University celebrated its fifth anniversary and the recent
renovation of its space in the Arts & Culture Centre of St.
John's on January 21-23, 2008.Events included musical performances, an open accordion circle meeting, a guest lecture, workshops on various audio technologies, and tours that were open to the community. On display were some of our publications, websites, and recent or ongoing work by graduate students in Ethnomusicology who use the MMaP Research Centre as a base during their studies at Memorial University.
