Per Course Instructor(s) for Math 103F
The Mathematics Learning Centre invites applications for two per course instructors to teach Math 103F via Distance Education. This Math 103F course is team-taught with each per course instructor responsible for 50% of the workload (50% of the salary). The per course instructors are required to prepare and deliver the course content in accordance with the Senate approved calendar descriptions and the Mathematics Learning Centre guidelines.
Required Qualifications: a minimum of 3 years experience instructing mathematics in a post-secondary institution; an undergraduate degree in Mathematics, Education or a related discipline; previous work experience with the conduct of the Fanshaw individualized math upgrading program; previous teaching experience in the K-12 school system. Previous teaching experience in the distance mode of delivery is preferred.
Subject to budgetary considerations and sufficient enrolments, this course will be delivered in the Winter Semester (January 7 to April 12, 2013). The successful candidates will be per course instructors in accordance with the provisions of the MUN-LUMUN Collective Agreement. Under those provisions no obligation to perform academic service or primary research is expected.
