What we do

The IMEHA is an international society which publishes the International Journal of Maritime History (IJMH) and Research in Maritime History (RIMH). The society also sponsors conferences and provides assistance for the study of maritime history. The most recent major conference was the 5th International Congress of Maritime History in Greenwich, England in June 2008. The 6th Congress will be held in Ghent, Belgium in 2012.  For more information, visit the official conference website has been issued.  The Association also invites applications at this time for the Frank Broeze Prize for the Outstanding Doctoral Thesis in Maritime History. This is a competitive prize. For full details visit Frank Broeze Prize. Deadline for candidates to submit their applications was 1 September 2011.
