Scope and Content: Series consists of records from the HMS Calypso during her tenure as a training vessel for the Royal Naval Reserve in Newfoundland, and while she was owned by A. H. Murray and company. Included are four drill registers for Newfoundland. These list each individual and the period of their drill, the vessel drilled on and remarks; a register of trainees; deck logbooks, 1914-1920; regulations as to Summary Punishments and Character, Conduct, and Badges etc. 1911-1913; and day books recording liquor accounts. A salt delivery book recording deliveries after the vessel was sold to Murray's is also included.
Acquisition Source: Records were donated by A. H. Bill Crosbie.
Custodial History: These records were included in the A.H. Murray fonds and were removed in 1980.
