Custodial History: For the period of World War 1914-1918 vessels that were commissioned for service by the Admiralty came under the jurisdiction of the Admiralty under the Director of Transport of Shipping. Prior to their transfer to the MHA the records were housed with the Registrar of Shipping and Seamen. Further details of their custodial and administrative history is not known.
