The Works is a world
class recreational facility which includes the Field House, indoor
track and fitness centre, a strength and conditioning centre,
multiple outdoor fields, student workout loft, combat room, squash
courts, MUN pool and gym, and the Aquarena with an Olympic-size
swimming pool complete with indoor water slides and a toddler
pool.
Home to the Memorial Sea-Hawks varsity basketball and volleyball teams, The Works is open to students, visitors and the general public.

Botanical Garden features plants native to the province and
cultivated plants suited to the local climate.
With a medicinal garden, rock gardens, alpine house, peat and
woodland beds, Newfoundland heritage garden, compost demonstration
garden and much more, there is never a shortage of interesting
things to see and learn.
The Botanical Garden is also home to the popular Bloomin’ Teapot, an authentic English Tearoom that serves soups, sandwiches and all-day weekend breakfast. If you are looking for a scenic walk, there is an extensive network of trails covering almost 45 hectares that pass through a variety of Newfoundland habitats.
