The Queen Elizabeth II Library

We have one of Canada's best university libraries.

In addition to millions of books and periodicals, it also houses several specialized collections, including those of the Centre for Newfoundland Studies which holds the largest collection of published Newfoundlandia in the province.

Many of its holdings are old and rare, others are as recent as the report of last month's task force or this week's community newspaper.

The QEII is also home to The Commons, a sophisticated networked computer work area helping students and other users craft and polish their research projects using word processing, presentation and spreadsheet software as well as assisting with writing, multimedia presentations and providing public access to the Internet.

The Commons also houses the First Space Art Gallery that features the work of graduates in the Fine Arts program at Memorial's Sir Wilfred Grenfell Campus.
