The Math Help Centres will be available in person and in an online capacity in response to the COVID-19 pandemic and following the direction given by Memorial University’s Emergency Operations Centre.

All students in Math 109A/B, 1090, 1000, 1001, 1050, 1051, 2000, 2050 will have access to the Math Help Centre Brightspace page and in person tutoring. In person tutoring is room specific.

The link below requires access to the Math Help Centre Brightspace page. Tutors can be found in the Online Rooms under the communication tab. If you have access issues and are registered for one of the above listed Math courses please request to be added to the Math Help Centre Brightspace page by emailing the Math Laboratory Instructor, Leigh Herman at dlherman@mun.ca.

Launch into an Online Room for your course, found in the titles of each room offered, and be connected to Help Centre staff. 

Staff will help at a first come first serve basis and it will be easiest to upload a photo of your work so we can annontate it directly for you to see. 

There are also links available to extra reference information for all courses including notes, assignments, tests and video tutorials. You can find this material under Content on the Math Help Centre Brightspace page.

A sample Math Placement Test for self assessment uses is also available on the Math Help Centre Brightspace page. The MPT is offered as a self assessment and the score is not used currently in any official capacity. Follow the instructions for the MPT on the Math Help Centre Brightpsace homepage. 

The Math Help Centre is there to assist students in learning the material presented in MATH 1090, MATH 1000, MATH 1001, MATH 1050, MATH 1051, MATH 2000, and MATH 2050.
