Born in Halifax and raised from six months of age in the rustic semi-rural boreal of Mount Pearl, I knew what I wanted to be early on – a rockstar. So after some time spent in retail where I didn’t get to be a rockstar, I attended Memorial to get my passport to living large. I graduated with a B.A. in economics and business and eventually found my way into a boutique design house, Darmonkow and Associates, as an Account Manager and Research Manager. Within six months we secured the firm’s first foray into the full-service agency business with a hard fought bid for the launch campaign of the newly-formed Multi Materials Stewardship Board. Sexy name. Six years later I joined the amazing crew at Target as Senior Account Manager and Research Manager. In 2009, I was fortunate to become a part of the talented marketing and communications team at Memorial. As Associate Director, my role includes market research, planning the university’s brand initiatives and providing guidance to academic and administrative units on everything from market research methodologies and media planning to creative development and project management. Still not a rockstar.
