The Health Research Unit of Memorial University's Division of Community Health is celebrating 10 years of collaborative community health research tomorrow, Thursday Nov. 28, with a luncheon at the Fluvarium on Nagle's Place from 12 noon to 2:30 p.m. You are invited to send a representative to this event, at which the past, present and future of community-based health research will be discussed.
Two current research projects of the Health Research Unit include developing a strategic plan for a model of services for persons with autism spectrum disorder and determining the needs of blind and visually impaired aboriginal peoples in Atlantic Canada. Other recent projects include a breast screening program evaluation and a baseline data study of pre-natal nutrition.
