|SUBJECT:||Memorial University education students celebrate art exhibition opening|
|DATE:||Nov. 28, 2013|
An exhibition by students in the Faculty of Education opens this afternoon, Thursday, Nov. 28, in the G. A. Hickman (Education) building on Memorial Universitys St. Johns campus.
Imagine/Create/Celebrate: Creative and Arts-Based Work in Education starts with refreshments at 4:30 p.m. in the main foyer, after which all are welcome to tour the building and view the various displays.
The intent of the exhibition is to create an opportunity to discuss the place and importance of creative and arts-based work in education while celebrating the achievements of education students.
The Faculty of Education also hopes that the art displays will help build a sense of community within the Education building. The various pieces collected will remain on display for several months while the digital versions of the students work will be linked to the faculty webpage at www.mun.ca/educ.
All are welcome.
