SUBJECT:	Memorial to honour outstanding faculty and staff members at special ceremony
DATE:	Dec. 7, 2012

Memorial University will recognize some of its eminent researchers, educators and staff members during a ceremony on Monday, Dec. 10, at Innovation Hall, Bruneau Centre (formerly Inco Centre) on the St. John’s campus.

Fifteen faculty and staff members will be honoured at the event, hosted by Dr. Gary Kachanoski, president and vice-chancellor of Memorial.

At the event, Dr. Kachanoski will recognize five employees for exemplary service, four faculty members for distinguished and outstanding teaching, four for research, one for graduate and postgraduate student supervision and one will be recognized for exceptional community service.

The event will take place at 5 p.m.
