|SUBJECT:||The energy keeps building during I ¢¾ MUNdays|
|DATE:||Oct. 22, 2012|
The fun keeps coming and the spirit keeps building as I Love MUNdays continue on Memorials St. Johns campus.
Starting out today, Monday, Oct. 22, its one of the most anticipated events of the year. The International Bazaar takes place 12-3 p.m. at the University Centre. Its a celebration of Memorial Universitys diversity, complete with delicious international cuisine, music, dancing and crafts.
Then at 3:30 p.m. its an MUNdays classic. Our 10 finalists 9 from St. Johns and one from Grenfell Campus will take to the stage at Rant Like Rick and speak their minds for a shot at bragging rights and a $1,000 top prize. Come out to the Breezeway and cheer on your favourite ranter and check out a special video sent by the original ranter himself, Rick Mercer!
Tuesday, Oct. 25, marks the final day of I Love MUNdays 2012 but dont fret were going out with a bang. A Health Challenge will take place from 10 a.m.-3 p.m., where students, staff and faculty will get fit and win prizes! A campus-wide call is going out to everyone and that means everyone to come out to the Field House and help break last years record of 774 kilometres walked, run or rolled around the track. Athletic demonstrations and activities will also take place to inspire all participants.
The I Love MUNdays Closing Ceremonies will take place from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. in front of the Queen Elizabeth II Library. Join us for a barbecue and the presentation of the Spirit Award winners!
MUNdays highlights the diversity, ingenuity, excellence, kindness and community spirit that distinguish Memorial as one of the best post-secondary institutions in the world.
