Memorial Universitys Department of Philosophy is hosting the annual meeting of the Canadian Society for Continental Philosophy this week.
The keynote speech on Thursday afternoon is open to the general public. Prof. James Mensch of St. Francis Xavier University will be giving a talk titled A Theory of Human Rights in the Reid Theatre (AA2015), 3:30 to 5 p.m. All are welcome to attend.
The Canadian Society for Continental Philosophy is a professional organization dedicated to the pursuit and exchange of philosophical ideas inspired by Continental European traditions. Its mission is to provide a forum for scholarly interests in such fields as phenomenology, critical theory, hermeneutics, existentialism, deconstruction and feminism.
