On Monday, Jan. 26, 2004, Memorial President Dr. Axel Meisen and Merv Swan, vice-president for the Americas region, Landmark Graphics Corp., will be making a special announcement pertaining to the university's research and teaching infrastructure relating to the oil and gas industry. Government officials and representatives from the oil and gas industry will also be in attendance.
The announcement ceremony begins at 2 p.m. in the Junior Common Room, R. Gushue Hall, located on Memorial's St. John's campus. Media agencies are encouraged to send representatives. A reception will follow.
