Memorial University Botanical Garden is proud to present a teacher workshop entitled Breaking Ground: Gardening for Wildlife in Your School Yard.
This hands-on introduction to creating a wildlife-friendly school garden in Newfoundland and Labrador is being offered on Wednesday and Thursday, Oct. 6-7, 2010, at the Botanical Garden, 306 Mount Scio Rd., St. Johns.
Registration is free, but space is limited. Pre-registration is required.
Activities will include Butterfly Gardening, Composting and Vermicomposting, Newfoundland Wildlife in your Garden (birds, bees, butterflies and bats), plus information on funding opportunities for school yard projects.
