REF NO.: 68
|SUBJECT:||Nursing students tackle health promotion|
|DATE:||Nov. 5, 2009|
On Nov. 9, the fast track students in N1015 course Health Promotion throughout the Lifespan will be addressing Health Promotion/ Health Protection strategies with a poster display. This display will address current health promotion issues pertinent to specific aggregates within our community. These topics have been researched by the students and represent some of the more common concerns for these age groups.
The posters will be displayed in the Faculty of Medicine foyer Nov. 9, from 4 - 6 p.m., at which times the students are prepared to address concerns and questions the viewing public may have.
“It is well worth noting that students are responsible to dialogue with agencies throughout our community to have the poster displayed at specific agencies at a time mutually agreed upon by student and agency representative,” said Marilyn Jacobs, assistant professor, Memorial University School of Nursing.
