SUBJECT: Memorial University and Marine Institute to Host Human Performance at Sea Symposium

WHAT:

The American-British-Canadian-Dutch Group on Human Performance at Sea, School of Human Kinetics and Recreation and the Centre for Marine Simulation will host a symposium at Hampton Hall, Marine Institute.

Researchers with the National Department of Defence, government sponsored research institutes, privatized companies and universities will attend this one-day symposium to discuss factors affecting human performance at sea including ship design, safety, motion sickness and measuring its effects on marine operations.

A tour of MI's Centre for Marine Simulation will follow.
