SUBJECT:	Memorial University to receive historic donation from RBC Foundation

On Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2009, the Memorial University community will celebrate a significant financial donation from RBC Foundation. This donation, which will enable Memorial to further advance its community outreach and research initiatives, is the largest philanthropic contribution RBC Foundation has ever made to an educational institution in Atlantic Canada.

Dr. Christopher W. Loomis, Memorial’s president and vice-chancellor, pro tempore, and Greg Grice, RBC regional president, Atlantic provinces, will be on hand with special guests, senior administration, faculty, students and representatives from RBC to mark this occasion.

Date: Tuesday, Sept. 29, 2009, 11 a.m.

Location: The Landing (UC-3018), The Smallwood Centre (University Centre)
