Memorial welcomes one of Canada’s most respected authors and activists to its St. John’s campus next week.
Maude Barlow, senior advisor on water to the president of the General Assembly of the United Nations, will deliver her insight on the world’s water situation.
Dr. Barlow, who received an honorary degree from Memorial in 1996, will deliver a talk entitled Water for All – Not for Sale.
She is speaking as part of Water Day during MUN Sustainability Days, which runs March 23-25.
The talk takes place on Tuesday, March 24, at 7 p.m., in the D.F. Cook Recital Hall.
Everyone is welcome.
Admission is free and parking is available in Lot 15.
The lecture is sponsored by the MUN Students for Sustainability Coalition.
