SUBJECT: Memorial University Career Fair 2003

Memorial University of Newfoundland will hold its fourth annual career fair on Monday, Sept. 29, 2003. from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Physical Education & Athletics Building gymnasium.

The goal of Career Fair 2003 is to expose university students to a variety of career opportunities and connect them with organizations that reflect that diversity. In addition, it demonstrates to visiting exhibitors and potential employers the high calibre of students and programs at Memorial University.

Co-ordinated by Memorial University's Department of Career Development & Experiential Learning, the career fair will bring students together with 51 local, national, and international organizations. Exhibitor attendance is up again over last year and early indicators of student interest predict strong attendance.

"This is an exciting time for Career Development at Memorial University," says Robert Shea, director of Career Development and Experiential Learning. "Interest in our students and our university has never been higher-as evidenced by the number of employers attending our fair. We are very excited about the growing success of our Career Fair and we wish to thank the exhibitors and students who take part. Particular thanks go to the Department of Youth Services and Post-Secondary Education for their continued support."
