On Tuesday, April 22, the Grand Falls-Windsor Chapter of the Alumni Association of Memorial University of Newfoundland will host a public presentation by Dr. Wilf Nicholls, director of the MUN Botanical Garden. Join Dr. Nicholls for a visual tour of the natural vegetation of Newfoundland and Labrador focusing on endangered or rare species of the Northern Peninsula. He will also explore new opportunities for horticulture and agriculture in Central Newfoundland including the potential of the seabuck thornberry as a cash crop. The president of Memorial University, Dr. Axel Meisen, will also be in attendance.
Dr. Nicholls' presentation begins at 7:30 p.m. in the Lecture Theatre, College of the North Atlantic, Grand Falls-Windsor campus, located at the intersection of Cromer Avenue and St. Catherine's Street.
