| DATE: | Nov. 24, 2006 | |
On Tuesday, Nov. 28, patrons of the Ship Pub can engage in a discussion about the end of history when Dr. Christopher Lockett, an English professor at Memorial, presents a lecture titled History's Better Angels: American Exceptionalism at the End.
The talk will examine how the concept that America is the exceptional, indispensable nation relates to both the utopian and apocalyptic visions of history’s end. This St. John's Public Lecture in Philosophy gets underway at The Ship on Duckworth St. at 8:30 p.m.
