Winner of the Margaret Williams Trust Fund Award announced |
The Trustees of the Margaret Williams Trust Fund are pleased to announce
that the trust has made its 2001 award to Christine Davies in the amount of
$2000.
Ms. Davies grew up in Labrador City, and spent the last eleven years in St.
John's. She holds a Bachelor of Journalism (1983) from the University of
King's College in Nova Scotia and is currently pursuing a Master of Library
and Information Studies degree at Dalhousie University.
The Margaret Williams Trust was estab-lished in 1982 by the family and
friends of the former Memorial University librarian and was established to
promote the development of librarianship in Newfoundland and Labrador.
Funds are awarded on a competitive basis to applicants seeking funding for
library-related projects or assistance in pursuing graduate studies in
library science.
