Public lecture series in philosophy continues |
The St. John's Public Lectures in Philosophy Series continues on Tuesday,
Oct. 30, with a lecture by Dr. David Thompson of Memorial University's
Department of Philosophy. Dr. Thompson's lecture -- titled The Mass Media,
Terrorism and War Propaganda -- begins at 8:30 p.m. in the Darkroom Urban
Lounge located at 340 Duckworth Street.
The St. John's Public Lectures in Philosophy is an informal public lecture
discussion series, with an emphasis on the intrinsic value of a critical
examination of assumptions and presuppositions. Lectures are scheduled for
the last Tuesday of every month and are sponsored by the darkroom Urban
Lounge and Memorial University's Department of Philosophy. For more
