Faculty of Science to hold annual Open House at Memorial University |
Memorial University's Faculty of Science is hosting its annual Open House
on Thursday, Nov. 8, 2001. The Open House runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. in
the gymnasium of the Thomson Student Centre on Memorial's St. John's campus.
The annual Faculty of Science Open House is held on a week day so that
teachers can visit with their students and see displays and activities and
interact with scientists. The Open House includes science shows by the
Chemistry and Physics departments, interactive computer projects from the
departments of Mathematics and Computer Science, live ocean creatures from
the Ocean Sciences Centre and much more.
Teachers are invited to bring their students for a day of interactive
science at Memorial. It is not necessary to book a visit but teachers are
advised that if organizers know arrival times they will be better prepared
