University Switchboard
The University Switchboard voice mail message will advise callers that most University departments are closed.
Callers will be given the option to be transferred to Security, Office of the Registrar, Cashier's Office or Student Health.
Computer Purchasing Centre
The CPC voice mail message will give clients the option to call telephone support (864-4595) during
Service Desk hours if they have an urgent matter that needs to be addressed.
CPC staff will have an auto-responding e-mail informing clients that they are closed for the holidays and
instruct them to call telephone support (864-4595) during Service Desk hours for immediate assistance.
C&C will continue to maintain its core infrastructure and services throughout the holiday season.

Marine Institute
Marine Institute will be closed from Dec. 24, 2012 – Jan. 1, 2013

The QEII Library
The QEll library will be open on December 27 and 28 from 8:00 a.m. - 4:45 p.m.
Animal Care Services
Animal Care Services we will remain open through the holiday period. There will be at least one person on site, working, from Dec. 25-Jan. 3, with an almost complete staff compliment on Dec 27 (8am-4pm) and 31 Dec (8am-1pm) - at the following locations: Health Sciences Centre, Biotechnology building and the Vivarium (on Mt Scio Road).
Facilities Management - Christmas Work Schedule
December 27 – 31, 2012
- CEP 24-hour Patrol Services as well as Emergency and Incident Response – 864-8561/4100
- Contact our Work Control number 864-7600 for all trades shops which include Carpentry, Controls, Custodial, Electrical, Grounds, Locksmith, Mechanical, Plumbing, Sign Shop, and Stores personnel. This line will be answered by our Central Utilities Section during the Christmas break.
- A skeletal Grounds crew will be working December 27, 28, and 31.
- Trades shops return to work on January 2.
