Step 12. Work has begun to replace the existing Policy and Procedures webpage (http://www.mun.ca/main/policies.php) with a web-enabled Policy Database providing search capability, consistency in policy formats, separation of policy from procedure (within the database) and the ability to track policy versions.
A database users group was formed in July 2007 and they have completed teh writing of the Requirements Definition. Procedures will be established for users to enter approved policies/policy revisions into the database.
In addition to submitting the policy to the database, the policy
sponsor will execute the communications plan for this phase. This
should be formal and may include: Announcements through Newsline,
training session (open or by invitation), inclusion in employee or
student orientation sessions, etc.
