Language Labs

Welcome to the Language Laboratories, soon to become the Digital Language Centre. We provide academic support to second language learners and to instructors of language and linguistics courses in the Faculty of Arts.

The links in the side bar to the left are divided into sections about the two computer labs that comprise the Digital Language Centre (DLC), the resources available to instructors and learners in the five language departments served by the DLC: French, German, Spanish, Italian, Russian, English as a Second Language, Linguistics and Classics. Information for language learners and Linguistics students can be found under 'Languages and Linguistics'. Follow the links there to the materials you need for your courses.

News:

If you are studying Italian, have a look at some of the newly added links on the Italian page under 'Languages and Linguistics'. Stay tuned for suggestions pertaining to Latin and Greek, and other less commonly taught languages such as Gaelic and Innutut!

The Digital Language Centre will be closed during mid-term break (Feb.22-24) and will re-open for regular hours on Thursday, February 25. Conversation classes will also resume on that day.

For general inquiries about lab schedules or conversation class times, please call 737-3008.

If you are teaching a language course and would like to book lab time or have questions about what we offer, contact the lab director, Dr. Karin Thomeier; 737-8585 or karint[at]mun[period]ca.
