A Night (or 3) at the Opera

This winter, introduce yourself to the world of opera, a fantastical realm of giant staircases, bronze women proffering fake torches and ceilings full of goddesses and gods.

An introductory overview by Maya Mohan will get you started. Then, as a class, you'll attend one or more of The Met Live productions (in HD) at Empire Cinema's Studio 12. Your introduction will include a look at the socio-cultural context in which each opera was composed and performed, as well as key moments to watch and listen for in the productions.

The $49 course fee includes your show ticket. Or register for all three productions for $129.
