March 31: Morgon participated in a Gardiner Centre workshop on Responding to RFPs and EOIs, a proposal-writing session offered in Happy Valley-Goose Bay, with support from ACOA.

March 31: Martha attended a meeting of the working group for Inuit Bachelor of Education program.

March 31-April 2: Sylvia was at St. John’s campus for meetings with a group from The University of Tromsø - The Arctic University of Norway to discuss possible collaborations between the Faculty of Education there and at MUN.

April 2: Martha took part in a teleconference with the CNNRO group regarding CFI application.

April 2: Martha was interviewed by APTN news for a segment about Them Days.

April 3: Ron and Morgan participated in a teleconference meeting of the Organizing committee for the annual Resources for Sustainable Development in the Arctic (ReSDA) workshop which will be held in Happy Valley-goose Bay from Oct 2-4, 2014.

April 3: Marie finalized a review of a manuscript for the North American Journal of Fisheries Management.

April 9: Martha travelled to St. John’s to attend a meeting of Newfoundland and Labrador Studies board. While there, she also met with the Dean of Arts, Dr. Lynne Phillips and Dr. Valerie Burton on the First Year Success program

April 10: Martha attended an Advancement Council meeting.

April 10: Labrador Institute staff meeting.

April 10-12: The play "Girl in the Goldfish Bowl" by Morris Panych was performed at the Lawrence O'Brien Arts Centre in Goose Bay; it was directed by Jamie Skidmore of MUN’s English Department as a co-production of the Mokami Players and the Labrador Institute.

April 11-12: Marie and Doreen attended module #5 of the Masters Certificate in Project Management Program.

April 12: Merline did a talk at the WISE conference in Happy Valley-Goose Bay. Doreen finalized the fiscal year end, staff contract renewals and travel allowance submissions. Doreen submitted the 2014/15 Budget Submission to the Vice-President (Academic), including an updated Strategic Plan and a 4 Year Staffing Plan.
