Keep your Microsoft products activated while off campus for extended periods with KMS

Under Memorial University’s Microsoft Campus Agreement, ITS has implemented a new service called Key Management Service (KMS) for the St. John’s Campus and Labrador Institute. KMS activates Microsoft products for university-owned Windows computers and keeps Memorial compliant with the current Microsoft Agreement.

For the vast majority of users, this activation process will be automatic. For those who travel or expect to be away from campus for more than 180 days with their computer, additional steps are required to ensure Microsoft products and operating system upgrades are activated on your Windows devices.
