Issues with Memorial's outgoing email - June 8th, 2012

Memorial is currently experiencing issues with email delivery to some services such as Google, hotmail and yahoo. This affects outgoing email only. Email sent within the university will be delivered as normal.  We are working with external sources to resolve this issue and our goal is to have it resolved within 24 hours.

This incident was the result of a compromised email account sending a large volume of spam email through Memorial's email service. Incidents such as this underline the necessity of password security. C&C will never ask for your account password. If you are experiencing issues with sending email, please contact the Service Desk at help@mun.ca or 864-4595.
