EDUCATION SPECIALIST (PROGRAM EVALUATION)
School of Social Work
 (Part-Time Contractual Position to August 31, 2013)
(This position is located in Goose Bay, NL)

DUTIES
Reporting to the Evaluation Committee through the Chair of the IBSW Program, the successful applicant will play a key role in formulating an acceptable and feasible design, method and procedure to evaluate the implementation of, and results from a unique Inuit Bachelor of Social Work program. Duties include researching trends and best practices in educational program evaluation; working with the Evaluation Committee to develop a framework for the evaluation of the program;  applying selected accreditation standards for BSW programs in Canada; developing and implementing reliable, valid program evaluation plans and tools; providing direction for program evaluation activities, processes, and timelines;  reviewing program outcomes and interpreting and reporting internal and external evaluation data for program effectiveness including student-graduate performance;  identifying and implementing program evaluation initiatives and improvements; liaising with faculty committees and administrative leaders  regarding program evaluation planning activities, tools, and data collection methodologies and analysis;  preparing evaluation reports; liaising with other schools and external agencies involved in program evaluation efforts; participating in external projects; and performing other related duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS
Experience (3-5 years) in developing, implementing and evaluating curricula and completion of a PhD in Education; OR experience (5-10 years) in developing, implementing and evaluating curricula and completion of a Master's Degree in Education; or any equivalent combination of experience and training. A foundation of pedagogy and superior interpersonal and communication skills are required. SALARY                                   $62,783 - $81,383 per annum (Management and Professional)
