DUTIES
Reporting to the Conference Marketing Coordinator, the successful applicant will perform moderately difficult and varied work in support of conference services within Community Education and College Relations. Duties include setting up conference front office and guest check-in; daily bank deposits; responding to guest inquiries and providing information to guests by phone, person or email; overseeing the check-in of conference groups and assigning guest rooms; maintaining reservation forms; assisting in the coordination of supplies from storage; assisting in the hiring and supervision of student staff; preparing work schedules and analysis for HR; and performing other related duties as required. Irregular working hours, including weekends, will be required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience (1-3 years) in general clerical work; graduation from high school, including or supplemented by courses in business education; or any equivalent combination of experience and training. Experience in a customer service environment and knowledge of Windows based spreadsheet applications is required. Experience in working with conference groups in the hospitality industry and familiarity with a university environment would be an asset.
SALARY $29,071 - $40,766 per annum (CUPE Local 1615)
