INTERMEDIATE CLERK STENOGRAPHER (BAND LEVEL 2)

DUTIES
The successful applicant will be required to perform moderately difficult and varied clerical work which involves some independent judgment. Duties include providing general office reception; distributing mail; replying in person, telephone or correspondence to enquiries; typing letters, memoranda and other documents from rough draft; using scientific software, LaTex, to type mathematical documents such as examinations, assignments and research papers; ordering supplies, preparing purchase orders through Banner Finance; entering grades in Banner Student; coordinating and preparing office and mailbox key requisitions and allocations; maintaining an on-line record of departmental space allocation; completing requisitions for various services within the university; posting on departmental notice boards; assisting in the preparation of conferences hosted by the department; and performing other related duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience (1-3) years in moderately difficult and varied clerical work; graduation from high school; including or supplemented by courses in business education and word processing; or any equivalent combination of experience and training. Knowledge of WordPerfect and Word is required. Well developed communication, organizational and interpersonal skills are essential. Knowledge of Banner Finance, Banner Student and LaTex would be an asset.
SALARY $31,096 - $43,604 per annum (CUPE LOCAL 1615)
