Depending on what year one enters the program, one will encounter paired courses - History I and II, Western Literature I and II, Philosophy I and II - in the correct numbered order or its reverse.
These courses are distinguished by thematic focus. One is not a prerequisite for the other. From this perspective the order is inconsequential.
Lectures and seminars take place in the late afternoons to accommodate students in the workforce. A detailed schedule and description of courses is available at the start of each semester.

Each course meets once per week during the term. Classes usually take the shape of working seminars, starting with questions or a common problem to be resolved.
