The Atlantic Accord, Equalization, and Offsets: An Independent Assessment was held February 2nd, 2005 in the Reid Theatre, Arts and Administration Builidng. Several units at Memorial University had teamed up to sponsor the forum, which was aimed at creating greater awareness of the issues surrounding the equalization debate.
The centerpiece of the forum was a presentation on equalization by Memorial economist Dr. Wade Locke. A panel discussion followed the presentation and featured political scientists Drs. Chris Dunn and Stephen Tomblin and economist Dr. James Feehan. The forum was moderated by Dr. Robert Greenwood, director of the Leslie Harris Centre of Regional Policy and Development.
