The Strategic Partnership - Harris Centre Student Research Fund
The Strategic Partnership - Harris Centre Student Research Fund is a project to promote student research at Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador in provincial economic competitiveness in national and international markets It is a partnership between the Harris Centre and the Strategic Partnership (a partnership of government, business and labour).
Since the fund's inception in 2005, it has supported 15 research projects for students in 7 different schools, faculities and departments.
Objectives:
- To build the human resource, institutional and analytical capacity and expertise within the province for social and economic analysis.
- To stimulate and support high-quality, applied policy research and integrate provincial social and economic policy objectives and initiatives undertaken by the Strategic Partnership with economic research capacity at Memorial University of Newfoundland.
- To stimulate interest in social dialogue and the Strategic Partnership’s approach to consensus building and decision making.
