January 2010
H1N1 Policy no longer in effect: The policy Memorial University implemented in September of 2009, with respect to the relaxation of medical notes for students who may experience influenza like illness, and the ability for students to self-report such illness, will no longer be in effect. Individual faculties/schools will revert to normal practices with respect to any requirements for medical notes related to academic leniency effective January 5, 2010. For more information, please speak with your instructor.
December 2009
Student absences during the final examination period: information about students self-reporting flu-like illness on Banner will be released to academic units in lieu of a medical note.

News Release, Nov. 3 - Memorial University managing through H1N1 pandemic
Information Sessions on H1N1 and Memorial's response have been held on the St. John's, Corner Brook and Marine Institute campuses.
On campus vaccination clinics? In October, Eastern
Health engaged officials at Memorial in discussions about utilizing
the university as a satellite site for vaccinating students,
faculty and staff on the St. John's and Marine Institute campuses.
When and if arrangements are finalized, information regarding
scheduling, location, eligibility and other related details will be
posted here and circulated promptly.
Note: The H1N1 vaccine will NOT be available through the campus student health clinic.
